Decks and Fences

The National Building Code of Canada sets basic parameters on decks and provinces make modifications based on climate. C&M Construction Ltd. follows the Alberta Building Codes and Standards as well as the Edmonton Design Guide Development Services guidelines or uncovered decks to meet residential or commercial safety requirements.

In most cases building a deck will require a permit. As the homeowner, you are responsible for getting all necessary permits although we’ll help guide you through the process. Check with your municipality to find out what permits you need or contact Municipal Affairs to find the permit provider in your area. Make sure you get your permits before starting your project.
